Harvest Wedding Inspiration With Ikebana + Wildflowers
Today’s European harvest wedding inspiration fulfills all our wildflower dreams with its organic arrangements, flowy fashion and less is more philosophy. You’ll find such sweet details as handmade cotton paper in blush and cream hues featuring hand-scribbled calligraphy with berry colored ink. You’ll also glimpse petal shaped earrings and hair adornments – a refined complement to the ballerina-esque gown with a backless silhouette. But in addition to this exquisite paper suite and poetic fashion statement, this gallery features a perfectly imperfect table designed by Gina Humilde Events with spilled fruits, tinted votives, etched crystal glassware and antique books… among other captivating objects! Rosehill Blooms scattered petite ikebana arrangements in antique goblets across the table in addition to an indoor wildflower cradle acting as the ceremony backdrop. And the fabulous Alix Gould Photography was present to capture it all on film – the movement, the details… these images are exquisite! See what we mean below.
From the planner, Gina Humilde Events: This stylized shoot was inspired by romantic, minimalist style, and a late European summer harvest. We wove in dusty, muted tones of wine and pears, providing a natural palette of hues and textures.
The ceremony “hedge” created by the talented Rosehill Blooms, was kept untamed to resemble a beautiful and natural patch of wildflowers. A perfect backdrop for nature-lovers getting married indoors. We incorporated nature’s bounty of fruits and nuts into our tablescape, supported by a mix of old-world antiquities and a scattering of wildflower arrangements throughout. To reinforce the romance of treasures of a bygone area, our calligraphy artist, Papier June, created handmade paper stationery with a slightly burnt edge detail. This same technique was used by Love in Bloom Cakes for her love script creation, accented by dried, wine-toned wildflowers and drape-like, graceful folds. The remarkable Carol Hannah dress from Sash and Bustle, with its seemingly simple cut, natural tone and free flowing layers, was brought to life by our model, Tamiah. A natural beauty enhanced by our hair and make-up artist, Covet Co., really united the overall minimal, romantic feel for this shoot.
Feeling wholeheartedly tranquil + bemused? We suggested starting this European harvest wedding inspiration from the top! This time with pinot noir in hand and Carla Bruni in the background. If you’re loving this autumn harvest aesthetic, we have a feeling you’ll love this Southern twist on the mood too!
