Modern Rustic Greek Wedding With Artisan Goods and Fig Details
There’s just something about a modern rustic Greek wedding that pulls at our heartstrings every time. Maybe it’s the deep olive hues or the culinary traditions, the bohemian lace fashion or minimalist architectural details, or even the feeling of nostalgia you get when you gather with your nearest + dearest. Today’s organically cozy microwedding is no exception to this rule, and we have been poring over these images from Sotiris Tsakanikas for longer than we’d like to admit. To our defense, the dynamic styling from Golden Apple Weddings has us completely enraptured in the narrative, accented with beautifully arranged flora from Kay Creations. If it’s an intimate Greek wedding you’re thinking about, let this dreamy story lead the way for your design direction!
From the planner + stylist, Golden Apple Weddings: Presenting one of the most serious statement trends and intimate affairs, a Traditional Micro wedding Editorial at Mea Terra Venue. We started the day with an effortlessly relaxed and hassle-free bridal preparation, set at one of the most breathtaking villas of Mea Terra where the gorgeous bride-model wore a fine silk and lace robe by Anem Anemomiloy. We envisioned a natural exotic bride having her features accentuated with a fresh and natural makeup routine and her hair prepared in a high lose bony tale while getting ready. The invitations were inspired by the traditional elements of the surroundings and summer island feels. All hand written calligraphy paper goods are created by Manousenia designs.
For the ceremony and reception we went for a more relaxed hair style with loose curls. The beautiful bride wore two piece bridal gown with touches of a vintage flair by Anem Anemomiloy. The ceremony took place outdoors with the perfect backdrop of a whitewashed little chapel on the grounds. We recreated the ceremony scene by placing two rows of chairs decorated with small bouquets for guests to enjoy the service and vow exchange. At Micro Weddings size is not essential anymore as couples tailor their guest list and invest in pampering the people closest to their heart.
With Mea Terra offering a generous space we moved from the ceremony location to the traditional and modern edge reception. A unique and intimate outdoor space was chosen for the Editorial enlightened by the traditional Greek island lifestyle, modern architectural design, the earthy elements and the luscious landscape. The reception was presented in a small dome with a traditional long wooden banquet in the center. The decorative table layout created the perfect harmony with the tailored goods and natural enamels. The A-list photographer Sotiris Tsakanikas captured the impressive beauty of this concept with the dazzling decor and atmosphere.
With the help of Kay Creation, the most exquisite blooms were used as centerpieces with a color palette of pure white, lush greenery, touches of blush pink as well as the traditional figs. Candles were lit up while featuring a personalized placed menu card on the grey pottery plates next to the gold cutleries. We also create our own components of traditional “meze” dishes and spirited cocktails decorated with the main element the fig. The day ended with a savory twist of cheese design bridal cake cutting.
