Enchanted Forest Halloween Wedding
When your wedding date just so happens to be Halloween, you have two options — one, ignore the holiday altogether, or two, embrace it and pull out all the stops. Chelsey and Nathaniel chose option two, fusing Halloween spookiness with an enchanted forest theme for a result that’s both elegant and inspiring. Birke Photography and Valley Flower Company did excellent work here, especially the bride’s lavender rose bouquet!
From the bride, Chelsey: Nathaniel and I met in the 7th grade and have been good friends since spending a whole night talking in the 9th grade. At 24 years old and both in a time of change we decided to move to Mexico together and the adventure continues! The ceremony was held in the Milking Parlor of the Round Barn – a romantic and simple classic vibe, using lavender flowers to incorporate California (where we live), ocean song grey roses with grasses and some darker leaves to accent. The flowers were tied with black velvet.
For the evening reception in the hayloft of the round barn, to feel like you are outside in an enchanted forest we used tree branches, grasses, berries, some dark red roses and pumpkins. I wore my grandmothers pearl necklace as a hairpiece and 4 pins by our 4 grandmothers on my bouquet. The veil was my sister’s that she wore 3 years ago, and I also wore a gold bracelet that I made.
What a wonderful combination of elegance, whimsey and Halloween fun! Cudos to all involved and many blessings to the happy couple!
Can you tell me where this wedding took place? It looks like maybe somewhere in VT? I really like the venue and would like to check it out for my wedding!
