Elegant Toronto Wedding
I think we might just have a winner for wedding dress of the year. Katie’s Marchesa gown is a complete show-stopper with its delicate pleats and beaded detailing. With an incredible looking ceremony on a garden patio and a reception in a cozy restaurant, this wedding from Celine Kim is a definite favorite of ours.
From the photographer, Celine: When Katie and Markus started planning their wedding, they just wanted to host a dinner with both of their families at their favourite neighbourhood restaurant – Local Kitchen. They have been loyal patrons of the restaurant since they moved into the neighbourhood. Since the restaurant is quite small, only their immediate family were in attendance. The festivities started at the Thompson Hotel, where they all got ready for dinner. A vintage Toronto streetcar picked up all the guests from the hotel and headed to Bar Salumi (Local Kitchen’s sister restaurant) for the ceremony in their beautiful back patio, made more beautiful with Coriander Girl’s floral arrangements.
The chefs at Local Kitchen created a special menu for their night, as well as keeping some of Katie & Marcus’ favourites on the menu. There were no toasts or speeches and no first dances. Just both of their families together celebrating their marriage over a dinner in their favourite neighbourhood spot.

This is really a nice and refreshing wedding. It shows that you can have a very classy event, without having to spend a fortune on it. Best wishes to the bride and groom!
Gorgeous wedding dress. I love that they had their guests ride on one of the TTC trolleys.
The embroidery on that dress was drop dead gorgeous. An absolute show-stopper!
The dress is absolutely stunning, amazing detail.
Um, “Yes!” to a vote for this being the “wedding dress of the year”!!!! WOW. I am also so thrilled to see a Toronto wedding featured here, since I’m currently planning my own Canadian wedding. I will be sending this link to my event planners in Toronto http://www.impresarioevents.ca to show them these beautiful details.
So very classy and elegant!
