Earthy Greenhouse Wedding Inspiration
Hello, grass place mats! When this wedding made its way into our inbox, it was one we all immediately fell head over heels in love with. There was an overcast haze throughout this shoot, but it seems to have elevated these fantastic colors Ninth & Everett used in this Christy Wilson Photography shoot. The cool and crisp colors of the venue emphasized the overall neutral palette found on the handwritten Italian paper menus and the pink and white darling centerpieces by The Farmers Florist. This shoot is just a win all around.
From the event planners and designers, Ninth & Everett: When we initially partnered with Christy Wilson of Christy Wilson photography, we discussed the idea of working with one of Nashville’s most beautiful new venues, Long Hollow Gardens & Nursery. We wanted to take a very natural environment and add a rich touch of luxury to create the perfect balance of earthy and elegance – A modern but timeless greenhouse wedding.
Constructed in 1880, the Farmhouse at Long Hollow Gardens has become the icon for Sophisticated Farm and Garden Weddings. The Farmhouse, Gardens, Wildflower Meadow, and barn are all located on a 35 acre farm, 20 miles from downtown Nashville. This iconic venue has recently added a beautiful greenhouse to their property that housed our shoot. It is the ideal location for all couples who have a love for nature because you can celebrate your special day “outside” without the concern of rain or harsh winter weather. With transparent ceilings, chandeliers and living plants surrounding you, who wouldn’t fall in love with this unique setting?
Wedding dress designer, Olia Zavozina hand selected the dress for us to use in our shoot. After describing to her our vision for the shoot, she brought out a brand new dress that has not even been released to the public. She said that the dress alone could “turn the greenhouse into a butterfly conservatory.” From the handwritten menus on paper shipped in from Italy, to the touches of gold and ivory on the moss and wildflower tablescape, we worked hard to show that there is a tasteful way to bring the outdoors inside. While the plants and trees grew around us that day, our love for this style and theme grew as well.
