Early Spring Wedding Ideas

My name is Amanda, and I have an unhealthy obsession for gorgeous delish floral arrangements. It’s a mix of stare and swoon followed by a giddy pinning frenzy. Like the ones from Half Orange Photography‘s amazing workshop photoshoot, designed by Stems of Dallas. Their inspiration behind the shoot was a simple yet striking Celebrate! theme, with pops of gold, crisp white and mint green. A color palette that works wonders for every season of the year.

Our theme was “celebrate!,” and we wanted the whole shoot to reflect the attitude of a celebration held in Austin, TX. Our initial inspiration came from champagne: the colors green and gold came to mind, circles and sparkle, and an accessible feeling of elegance. We wanted to combine the glitz and glam of an elegant affair, so we brought in gold, champagne, beautiful flowers and faux fur for our bride to wear with her second look. We also wanted some quirk, texture, and a slightly hippie vibe since we shot in Austin- so our bride Sarah wore a halo made of flowers, we decorated the table with succulents and held the entire session at a dried up riverbed. The table was covered in lace table cloths, and we strung circles punched from glittery cardstock to make a table runner.
