Borrowed Blue & Bliss: A Wedding Story in Dusty Blue
They say inspiration comes in waves, and that couldn’t be more true about today’s lush dusty blue wedding story whose original muse was a moody velvet ring box + complementary invitation suite. A mix of soft tulle and lush blooms carry the designs forward and just when you think it can’t get better – BAM! – creative macrame decor stands proudly across the ceremony backdrop and cake display. These photos from Lavender & Light Photography are all bliss and definite class. See for yourself below!
From the photographer, Lavender & Light Photography: This has been by far one of my favorite shoots! The shoot is borrowed blue and bliss – a light delicate and stunning combination. As they say, location is everything. This stunning venue has a life of its own. Its 85 year history holds a lot of the charm once a blacksmith shop, then an oldsmobile dealership and now the wedding venue of your dreams. It’s a unique one of a kind venue with hand hewn beams, rugged romantic metal exterior and its timeless look.
The venue is scattered with the blues, whites, and greys contrasting with the dark wood of the venue but complementing the wide windows. And what better way to announce the day with an elegant glass sign announcing the bride and groom. The bride stood out stunningly against the black backdrop in her dusty blue tulle dress and her pink lace shoes! The macrame touches throughout the day added the perfect accent to the whole look. From the backdrop to the table runner to the perfect detail to add to the chairs, even to help hold the deserts like the gorgeous blue and silver cake and the delicious macarons. But what truly makes the day is the stunning array of flowers that help accent every piece of the day from the table to the bride herself. All of the details from the custom made jewelry to the hand dyed silk ribbon for the bouquet to the slightly offbeat tie or the custom cufflinks, those are the little details that make the wedding come together. To think it all started with a velvet ring box followed by a white and blue invitation arriving in the mail.
