Romantic Atlanta Wedding with Dusty Blue Bridal Fashion
There’s nothing that grabs our attention faster than dusty blue bridal fashion – especially when it comes with a backdrop of climbing ivy, trailing silk and organic blackberry accents. So when we saw these dreamy real wedding designs from our own preferred vendor, Taylor Dawn, that encompassed all of the above, we were hooked. Beatriz and TJ’s elegant and graceful wedding you’re about to pore over was captured in breathtaking perfection by Rustic White Photography, and the wild, flourishing bouquet from Bold Events is just the cherry on top. We won’t keep you from these beautiful shots any longer now – let’s dive in!
From the planner, Taylor Dawn: Beatriz and TJ’s wedding day was truly one of a kind. The first time Beatriz and I met, she told me that she loved blue and that she wanted to wear a blue dress. I was absolutely thrilled! We wanted Beatriz and TJ’s wedding day to be a true representation of their fun personalities and to show the love they share with all of their family and friends.
Being of Spanish heritage, Beatriz knew she wanted to host her wedding in the Catholic Church with a traditional ceremony; so, that is where we began our day. Knowing that this aspect of the day was more traditional, Beatriz chose a gown that would be stunning and elegant for her ceremony, but with a twist! Opting for a two-piece set, Beatriz would be able to make a change to the bottom half of her attire before introduced to her and TJ’s guests at the reception.
Beatriz and I worked on the design of her day for almost an entire year. We wanted every aspect of the day to embody Beatriz and TJ’s warm personalities and, of course, include the color blue, B’s favorite. Working with the floral designer, we opted to include blue taper candles on the estate table, while keeping most of the other details classic and timeless throughout the reception space.
Beatriz and TJ are big lovers of their sweet pup, Griffin, so we included him at the tables in the form of sugar cookies for each guest! This was the most fun touch.
Beatriz’s big reveal to her wedding party (and her groom!!) was when she entered the courtyard moments before the reception in an absolutely stunning, jaw-dropping, hand- painted Chantel Lauren blue bridal skirt. This was SUCH a fun secret to keep! From first seeing it at the bridal salon, Beatriz and I worked endlessly to be sure her revel was executed perfectly and the most perfect blue touches were sprinkled throughout the evening. Because we knew the sun would be setting on B’s perfect gown, Rustic White Photography and I went to Beatriz with the idea of doing a styled bridal shoot in her blue gown. Beatriz was thrilled and so were we! Because of this extra time, we were able to capture smaller styled details we would not have otherwise gotten on wedding day.
Beatriz and TJ’s day was complete with an immaculate meal and dancing that lasted almost all night! I loved what a great representation this couples’ wedding day was of their fun, warm, and welcoming personalities!
