From Laura Bravi Events: This editorial was based on a love story taking place at the beautiful venue that hosted us.
Villa di Striano is a magnificent historical villa nestled in a secret corner of Tuscany, protected by the nearby Apennines mountains, green soft hills and the romantic shores of Lake Bilancino, that you can see from the Belvedere terrace. The villa has a luminous past and has been frequented by artists and writers coming from all Europe, hosting elite social gatherings and music soirees for centuries. We imagined our lovebirds meeting as children, playing outside in the park while their families were being entertained in the villa, becoming friends and slowly falling in love right there in the luscious gardens and woods that surround the venue. The warm palette of the fall foliage and the sunset tones that tint the creamy facade of the villa with the most romantic pink strokes completed our vision, while a classic elegance guided all the other styling choices.
We focused on two design elements: the ceremony setting and the table.
For the ceremony setting we worked on the steps where we imagined out best friends spending hours as children, chasing each other in countless hide and seek session. What a perfect spot to create a unique backdrop for their vows, with a floral installation, built directly on the steps by our talented florist Stefania at Grazie Dei Fiori Atelier. For the table, set under one of the villa’s many loggias, we set an elegant and refined atmosphere, featuring authentic hand painted Tuscan plates, crystal glassware and tapered candles, and floral runner that wanted to emulate nature’s shapes.
All the stationery was thought to complement the mood of the shoot by Maria Chiara at Wildflowers Calligraphy, with handwritten elements paired with handmade paper, a gold wax seal with the Florentine lily symbol, and Italian artisanal candy by Pastiglie Leone acting as a sweet little favor. Another special touch was the Vintage Sapphire engagement ring provided by The Exquisite Collection, a true sentimental treasure that complimented the look of our bride with its timeless elegance. Igor Albanese’s photography captured in a timeless way both our lovebirds in some classic and beautiful portraits, the venue’s many different charming aspects and the styled details that made our work come to life.
