We’re pretty sure this coastal fern inspired wedding in Athens gonna wash all your Monday blues away! Our bride, Christina envisioned her wedding on a beautiful summer day and Lily of the Valley made sure she gets it. A thoughtfully planned modern chic wedding with white + peach roses and lots and lots of ferns from Studio 7 will make your heart skip a beat. Oh, wait until you see her Nathalie Karam pale blue dress, totally GORG! We’re so glad to have these lovely images from Vasia Photography:
From the wedding planner, Lily of the Valley:
“Ferns are the new succulents!
At the Athenian Rivera, Christina and Dany chose to meld modern design with a subtropical feel in their gorgeous summer wedding. A soft blue color palette blended seamlessly with an array of white and peach-colored blooms while classic rustic tables stood boldly among elegant ghost chairs. Statement floral patterned runners unfurled below the centerpieces and the vintage brass candleholders.
Oh, and did we mention where they tied the knot? In the prettiest little church by the Aegean sea!
The bronze rays of the setting Athenian sun alongside stunning views of the coast made this wedding truly magical. We hope you enjoy this contemporary destination wedding in Greece!
From the bride, Christina:
I’ve always dreamt my wedding day to be a beautiful summer day by the sea and what better destination to choose than beautiful Greece. Of course, this land rich in endless views of the sea and a multitude of gorgeous spaces had an infinite number of destinations to offer. However, we settled on Vouliagmeni located on the beautiful Athenian Riviera coast, to facilitate the travels of our family and friends coming from the different corners of the world.
We chose our wedding venue to be the elegant Ktima 48, where the ceremony occurred next to a beautiful pristine chapel during a beautiful Greek sunset, with incredible views of the sea and stunning greenery as a background.
As for the dress, I chose to deviate from the traditional white color, and designed an original pale blue dress, with just the right amount of sparkle, in harmony with the sun glitter in the waves at the horizon.
Is there anything more exciting than planning a destination wedding? However, it would have never been possible without the help of our wedding planner Diane Kiameh from Lily of the valley. Diane’s planning was extremely smooth and easy by streamlining all the vendors and designing aspects. Not only did she grasp our vision of the wedding, but she also helped us organize a wedding far beyond what we could have imagined.
We chose dusty blue as the main wedding color, to reflect the serenity of our relationship. Our main theme was the fern, a symbol of eternal youth, serving as a reminder of our mutual promise to forever stay young at heart.
Throughout the ceremony, emotions built up and tears of joy rolled. These were followed by our cracking laughs caused by joyous speeches. One of my favorite moments was when our friends assembled together, wearing colorful hats and trinkets, and singing all together poetic chants with wordplay, making us all burst in laughter.
Our main focus throughout that day was on having fun. Our biggest pride is our fantastic wedding party that lasted till early morning. Every single guest danced to the beats of international music, Lebanese music, and French music. My husband’s greatest moment was when he took off his suit and jumped into the pool although it was strictly forbidden.
This day is truly one I shall cherish forever. To me, it was simply perfect.
We hope you enjoyed this beautiful coastal fern inspired Athens wedding as much as we do. Want to see one more wedding with the beautiful Aegean Sea? Here’s an al fresco destination wedding in Mykonos.
