San Diego wedding vendors worked together to create an elegant early fall wedding editorial oozing with poetry and raw beauty. Holding on to the last glimmers of summer as we burst into fall hues, Siren Floral Co built the dreamiest ceremony arch with delicate wild flowers and daisies that will simply take your breath away. Lucy Munoz documents all the chic details and gentle movements that has us feeling as if we’ve been swept away in our favorite love story.

From the photographer, Lucy MunozI’ll start and end with this beautiful poem by Robert Frost’ titled “Nothing Gold Can Stay,
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

We drew our inspiration from Robert Frost’s poem because the things we love and want to hold on to are sometimes fleeting, leaving us with only trace memories. For instance, a sweet kiss, the memory of holding your mother’s hand, a hug from someone you used to know—anything we wish could just stay in our lives a bit longer.

As we collaborated and discussed we thought about summer. We often anticipate its arrival and when summer is coming to a close we’re left with some beautiful memories. Summer for us gives us memories of beautiful golden light, slower paced days, barefoot in a field, abundance, and as Frost describes, “nothing gold can stay.” So as we are trying to hold on to the last moments of summer we understand that its sweetness will become distant cherished memories.
