Chic Austin Wedding
When a wedding party kicks off with a mariachi band and food trucks, you know you’re in for a good time. This was exactly the case for Amy and Bob’s wedding, whose Austin celebration is full of so many whimsical details and a grey lace gown you’ll fall head over heels for. Thank you to Julie Wilhite Photography, CLINK, and Merveille Events for your parts in this beautiful day!
Amy and Bob got married last October at the beautiful Laguna Gloria, a contemporary art museum in Austin, TX. From the start, they wanted to make their wedding unique and something their guests would truly enjoy. The ceremony was held in the amphitheater and it could not have been a more perfect day for these two to get married. As Amy’s sisters walked her down the aisle to “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers, the entire group went silent. It was a moment no one will ever forget! Afterwards, guests were greeted into cocktail hour by Mariachis, Peached Tortilla’s food truck and passion fruit signature cocktails being passed to all.
As Amy and Bob joined the last few minutes of their cocktail hour, guests were asked to grab their escort cards from boxwood greenery walls and find their tables, which were adorned with colorful dinosaurs holding each table number. The bride had fallen in love with the idea of having dinosaurs on each table after seeing it at a local Austin restaurant. The pop of color from the dinos mixed with the vibrant and textural floral made for the perfect mix of eclectic and unique that Amy and Bob were going for. As dinner ended and the sun went down, guests were treated to Breakfast at Tiffany’s being projected on the side of the Villa at Laguna Gloria. A quaint lounge area was placed perfectly – making it seem as if guests were at an outdoor movie theater. Since Amy and Bob didn’t want a traditional cake, they opted for Gourdough’s food truck. Guests could walk right up and pick from three different (mini) donut flavors – all of which were deliciously amazing! After the sugar wore off, the rest of the night was spent on the dance floor…and what a party it was! From the bride’s bright red heels to the Philadelphia love sign and everything in between, Amy and Bob’s wedding could not have been more true to this fun and eclectic couple!
I love the vibrant colors in this wedding! Very unique and pretty. Her dress is STUNNING!
