Canadian Wedding with Greenery Galore

When it comes to boho garden weddings, Canada always seems to get it right. Maeve and Jon’s wedding, photographed by Brandon Scott Photography, was sheltered indoors, but their event and floral designers Allure Events and CJH Florals brought the garden inside for a truly botanical feel. We’re swooning over the hanging lights and greenery for their ceremony!

From the floral designer, CJH Florals: Maeve and Jon wanted to create an organic and natural feel, something understated yet over the top. This balance was achieved by keeping the palette neutral and literally adding greens to every square inch possible. Bringing the outdoors in was what we did, a combined effort from CJH Florals and Allure Events. The stunning ceremony backdrop of neutral sheer fabric draped with smilax and plumosus fern created the most romantic ambiance, this set the mood for the entire wedding.

Maeve’s bouquet was created with one goal in mind to mimic that amazing lace on her dress ~ the petals and leaf patterns were emulated in the choice of flowers and foliage. Passion flower vine added the perfect flow as well as the blushing bride protea, other flowers used in the bouquets astilbe, thryptomine, various varieties of locally sourced succulents, Juliette Garden rose, quicksand rose, astrantia, podocarpus, eucalyptus, smilax, and plumosus.
