Boho Greenpoint Loft Wedding
Where to begin with this Brooklyn wedding? Asha and Aaron married in the new wedding venue Greenpoint Loft with photographer Amber Gress by their side, and had day filled of head-to-toe cool. Most remarkable of all has to be Asha’s lasercut wedding gown, which was accented perfectly with yellow heels.
From the bride, Asha: We wanted our wedding to be casual, celebratory and meaningful. We wanted to cut through all of the conventions and make choices that we felt really resonated with us deeply – by doing so we had hoped that we would come out with something truly PERSONAL rather than formulaic – and it absolutely worked.
We made choices that we felt would reflect the beauty of our venue – this raw, dramatic abandoned warehouse space with a startling view of Manhattan. The place didn’t need much! My favorite DIY moments: My best friend hammered every guests name into these metal brass tags for the table assignments. My mom and father-in-law made the chuppah, utilizing fabrics from the matriarchs of our families. I bought napkins from IKEA and my girlfriend tied each one in twine and put a flower twig for each place setting.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? MAKE IT PERSONAL. Make choices that you are actually excited about and don’t get carried away with other people’s expectations. In the end, everyone will love it because you do.

The couple had such an unforgettable moment and everyone really had fun.The wedding dress is so cool.
While all the wedding elements look great, the real winner for us is the truly showstopping laser cut gown!!
This is ridiculously gorgeous! That dress is insane. Love!
Amazing venue, great details!
Lovely! For those commenting on the dress as laser cut: it actually appears to be created from a type of vintage lace. My mother makes dresses somewhat similar to it.
What an amazing wedding, really unique!
Marching band at a wedding! Great idea! This seems like a wonderful old-world touched wedding. Super awesome.
I love this wedding! I’ve been to this space and it’s so gorgeous.
I was interested in approximately how much this wedding cost? We are looking for a unique venue and this surely fits! Everything looks amazing!! What did it take to put it all together as far as amenities like kitchen (did you need to rent a caterers kitchen?), parking, chairs, tables, valet, attendants? Did you have to purchase insurance? Anything that you wouldn’t think of with a normal venue? ANY details would be greatly appreciated!!
I love how fun all of the wedding details are of this fantastic wedding. The shot at the end is the cutest.
I would love to get in touch with Asha. Can you send her my email address? We are inspired by her wedding! Thank you
