Basilica Hudson Wedding
Photographer Jenn of Flora + Fauna says Betsy and Travis’ wedding stole her heart, and after seeing the images, we have to say it’s stealing our hearts as well. New York’s Basilica Hudson provided the ideal industrial backdrop for the newlyweds’ big day, which was decorated to the nines thanks to Betsy’s creativity and the help of The Pollen Project.
From the bride, Betsy: We envisioned a day that was industrial, utilitarian, simple, clean, and beautiful. Our colors were neutrals with pops of metallics and the natural green colors from the herbs and the trees. I make displays for Anthropologie and Travis and I met while we were in art school, so I think people expected me to go all out with wedding projects, but we kept it pretty simple! We made our seating chart with strings so everyone could follow a string to their table number, we hand cut our table numbers, we created a fabric menu that we hung in the space, and we created a tag and brewed little bottles of cold brew coffee from the coffee company Travis works for, Rook.
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? Take it all in stride! Don’t stress, just enjoy it all! It goes by too fast! Don’t worry to much about timeline. We planned our wedding in 5 months! We just adjusted everything to figure out what worked best for out timeline.

From the photographer, Jenn of Flora + Fauna: From the moment I spoke with Betsy, I fell in love. She’s a visual merchandiser for Anthropologie — so immediately I knew her wedding was going to be one for the books. Betsy and Travis filled their wedding with everything they loved from cold brew coffee to delicious food. This wedding stole my heart.
