Alcazar Hotel Wedding with Succulents
We don’t know how you do it, Palm Springs, but you always seem to blow us away with your incredible weddings. We can’t blame Maud and Bill for wanting their family and friends to join them in such a stunning location as they exchange vows, and the day was made even that much more special with the help of Fondly Forever Photography and Artisan Event Floral Decor taking control over the design. The result is a remarkable desert wedding full of succulents, marquee lights, driftwood, and pure Palm Springs charm.
From the bride, Maud: We love Palm Springs and wanted our families to see this beautiful location. My family is from France and Bill’s family is from Boston, so we knew everyone would be blown away by the beautiful desert landscape. We didn’t really have colors or a theme in mind when we first spoke with Joey from Artisan Events. The only direction that we gave was that we wanted desert flowers and that we wanted to include driftwood in our centerpieces. From the beginning we completed trusted Joey and the fantastic Artisan team, and we were completely blown away by the décor! Everything looked absolutely beautiful!
For the DIY items, we created a How to Survive a Bilingual Wedding guide, with a few key phrases in English and French for our guests to be able to communicate, that we put on each table and a Kissing Menu to get our guests to sing and dance during dinner. We also put together our favors, which were little bottles containing French candied almonds. It is so hard to pick just one favorite memory! I fondly remember the moment Joey from Artisan Events handed me my bouquet, the moment Bill and I took our first look photos and I finally showed Bill my wedding dress, the beautiful ceremony that our dads officiated in both English and French and the amazing speeches from my dad, my brother-in-law, and my three beautiful friends. We both loved the fact that the wedding turned into a pool party where every single guest ended up in the pool!
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? My advice is to enjoy every second of the wedding day. You spend months and months planning this event and on the day of, time just flies. Take the time to take in and enjoy every second, spend time with your guests, and be silly with your husband!
