We absolutely love this elegant stationery suite and that they weren’t afraid to add a pop of turquoise to the classic ivory and gold invitations.

From the planner, Italia Celebrations: The four days of this wedding were like a fashion show and each day and event had its own theme and energy. It was a beautiful and stylish group of men and women from Miami and they were among the warmest and nicest people I have ever met. I haven’t been to Miami yet but it made me want to hop the next plane.

The first three days of the wedding were a non-stop joy ride. Music and entertainment is a key to a great event, particularly when the event lasts 3-4 days, as it keeps things lively and celebratory. The first night was inspired by traditional, vintage Tuscan dolce vita. You almost felt as if you were back in 1940’s Italy. Il Borro has an outdoor wood burning oven in the middle of the ancient Medieval village. The second day saw a wine tour and tasting in the afternoon and photo shoot of the bride and groom. The evening festivities were an Italian BBQ in the pool garden. Chiara is a professional photographer and artist and Mario dabbles in photography and vintage cameras as a hobby and that was the theme for this evening. All of the trees in the garden were uplit with multi-colored lights and as the sun set the garden turned to a multi-colored wonderland. And just when it couldn’t get any more magical, the evening drew to a close with a show of fire throwers.

The wedding day began with the bride getting ready in the master suite surrounded by her sisters who were her bridesmaids. The ceremony was held in the simple, country Catholic church on site at Il Borro and was celebrated by a Spanish priest from the Vatican. The bride and groom led the group out of the church and down the hill of the Medieval hamlet to a vintage convertible waiting for them below. They drove off to take photos while the rest of the group made their way up for the cocktail hour in the Italian garden. The seated dinner was served on the long terrace above the garden and as dinner drew to a close, Chiara and Mario cut the cake and shortly thereafter the garden erupted with fireworks.

Dinner, speeches, first dance, cake cutting, fireworks all concluded…it was time for the Brazilian dancers to appear and round up all the guests to lead them to the late night party and dancing area where a 12 piece English band had been flown in for the occasion. The party went all night long and the bride and groom emerged at dawn with their friends following along.

The plan for the last day was to wake up at noon and crash at the pool in the afternoon. There was a casual pool barbecue on hand throughout the afternoon as guests wandered in and out.
