Countryside Kent Wedding

Countryside Kent Wedding

Today’s wedding sent over by Emma Case is simultaneously everything we’d expect from an English countryside wedding, yet so much more. It was truly a family affair, with helping hands and talent being donated by both the bride and groom’s kith and kin. Keep an eye out for one of our favorite details from this wedding — a guestbook that doubles as a piece of artwork for the newlyweds!

From the bride, Belinda: For our wedding day we envisioned part nostalgic village fete, part glamping music festival, full of loved ones at their most happy and relaxed. We love vintage styles and timeless English character, so being outside in a beautiful farm location gave us a combination of all these in which we’d have space for kids to join in the fun too.

The whole event was held at a Brick House Farm in Kent, we loved the feel and character of the place and wanted to keep the entire day in one location in order to make the event easiest for families and friends. Our guests were able to camp which we loved the idea of, as well as the country style games, the hog-roast, the boathouse accommodation for bride and groom, the animals roaming around and the beautiful barns and gypsy caravans….

DIY was the order of the day. We had homemade bunting, cake-sale style homemade cakes by family members, bridesmaid dresses made by both our mums, flower arranging and bouquets make by our mums and my sister, bride’s hair and make-up done by bride and bride’s sister, Ben’s wedding ring made by father in law from rosewood, place holders/favours made from vintage plastic farm animals, and invites hand lino-printed by Ben.
