Stylish Cape Town Wedding

This South African affair photographed by Lizelle Lotter has style for miles, from the bride’s custom-made gown to her jeweled headpiece to her sheer polka dot shortie gloves. The abundance of feminine blush tones make this beauty a real treat for the eyes, no? Also, the bride and her friends threw together her perfectly organic white and green bouquet, which we love!

From the bride, Chani: Our style was a vintage, fun style with pastel colours that are soft on the eye and earthy elements eg. the logs used on the tables and lavender pots in the aisle. The feel I wanted to create was a relaxed and calm feeling and nothing like your typical wedding.

I did not want to go for a specific theme, but the colour scheme was soft pastel colours, mainly pink and blue, and neutral tones. All the flower arrangements we did ourselves as well as the bouquets; we did the invites as well as the decor.

Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? If you know what you want it makes it so much easier. So get your ideas and inspiration well in advance so that when the time comes to make decisions on decor and colour schemes you can just fire away. And of course invest in a good photographer. It’s the one thing you keep with you forever.

  • Could anyone tell me who made this ring? I found this post two years ago, saved a picture of the ring, and have been looking for it again ever since! I am in love with the ring and it is exactly what I want for my engagement ring. Please let me know if anyone has any more details about it:)
