Intimate Ohio Wedding on a Thursday
When I think of intimate, homey weddings, this one from Henry Photography is exactly what comes to mind. Sweet details here and there, a beautiful venue, but the focus is on the love of the couple above all else. Brittany and Mark’s big day shows that weekday weddings can be just as spectacular as weekend weddings, as these pictures will attest!
From the photographer, Ashley of Henry Photography: When I asked Brittany what style she was going for she said “very casual, laid-back, rustic chic… is that even a thing?” After photographing her wedding, it definitely was “a thing.” Their wedding was perfection. They wanted something intimate and casual and with their small guest list and it being on a Thursday, it was even more personal. Each detail was planned by the bride and her mom but Mark had his touch here and there. It truly was a beautiful wedding. He wore a navy suit and she wore a gorgeous gown from David’s Bridal. She accented the navy with lavender and little jars of honey were the favors; they were extra sweet!
Any advice for couples planning their weddings now? You can do a lot yourself if you want! It is important to have someone my your side each step of the way. My mom and I planned this wedding in 3 months and had an amazing time doing so. We were the wedding planners and hostesses and I would never trade that time with her for anything. Also, ENJOY THAT DAY! It goes by so so so fast and you have to cherish every moment you can.

I knew it! As soon as I saw the photo of the couple holding spoons, I had a feeling Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams was involved. HAHA! I’m from Columbus, OH and am well-acqainted with that delicious stuff. What a fantastic idea to skip the cake and opt for ice cream and a build your own smores bar! LOVE IT.
