Orange Burst Wedding
Katie and Cameron’s orange and blue wedding captured by Aaron Shintaku is so vibrant and fun! Fresh oranges were paired with striped details, which made for a stunning combo. Oranges even found their way into Katie’s bouquet! How creative is that?! Bring it on, summer!

I think our wedding was vibrant with the colors that we used and very unique! I really liked the blue I picked out and was going back and forth on another color for an accent. My fabulous wedding planner Jesi Haack was the first one to throw out the color orange. It worked so great throughout the wedding from the oranges she used in the bouquets, escort cards, center pieces, and even down the isle on the sheppard hooks. I loved that the orange just popped everywhere you looked!
We really wanted to get married outside so, we went back and forth on a few places. We wanted to have the ceremony and reception at the same venue so we could just enjoy the whole day without having to jump from one place to the next. We ended up going with the Fullerton Arboretum in Fullerton, California. We got married right in front of a pond with trees surrounding us, it was very surreal! There were orange trees as well which, went well with our whole theme!
We decided to do mini desserts for fun. Kelsey Richards did all of the amazing desserts!! We had mini cheesecakes, cupcakes, mini apple pies (cutie pies), and even chocolate brittle!
Some advice from Katie:
Hire a wedding planner! It will ease the whole process from start to finish! And it just makes your day so great because you don’t have to worry about anything!

You know, I’m not going to lie. Orange is not my favorite wedding color. But this wedding has totally converted me! It has just the perfect pop that doesn’t overwhelm. It really enhanced a lot of the details, like the centerpieces and ESPECIALLY the bouquets! How beautiful are they? Especially paired with the muted bridesmaids dresses…perfection.

I’m so impressed with their use of oranges! Such a cool cheap and cheerful idea, and really effective. Just think which other fruits you could use; lemons, limes….pineapples?!

holy cow! the color palette is just gorgeous! the photography is exquisite and really captured the moments… i love the table numbers, the table centerpieces, the paper straws, the UNIQUE escort cards, the charcoal BM dresses with the bursting orange floral bouquets… I LOVE EVERYTHING about this wedding… what a treat to see today!
