Orcutt Ranch Wedding
As cute as the floral headband bride Cori wears is, it suddenly became even cuter when we realized she made it herself! California photographer Laura Goldenberger sent along this beautiful wedding from West Hills with a darling mustache theme (you’ll see them in cookie form, on the place cards, in the boutonnieres…) and a fresh orange and green palette. We also love their idea of having not only a food truck, but also a coffee truck for guests!
From the bride, Cori: All flowers were bought from the LA flower mart downtown and made into bouquets, arrangements, etc by hand by family members and bridesmaids the morning of the wedding. My aunt and I made the boutonnieres from dried wheat and flowers that we affixed to mustache pins that I bought on Etsy from Gelagu Accessories store. We ordered bulk rose petals from Fifty Flowers and sprinkled them down the aisle. I made a “boogie shoes for tired toes” basket from flip flops purchased from Old Navy wrapped with little size cards that I made to each and ribbon. I wrapped a macrame ring in twine and added silk flowers to make a large loop which we tied to the tree at our ceremony site. Then we draped several yards of peach lace fabric through the ring and fanned out each side to create our altar backdrop.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Use the amazing resources online like Ruffled! Also, if you’re doing a few things yourself, Dollar Tree, 99c stores, Ross, Save-on-crafts.com, etc are your friends. Try not to stress over the tiny last minute details because the guests won’t even know the difference.
