New York Bridal Shower
It’s rare that we’re able to share real bridal showers here at Ruffled, but it’s just as rare that we’re able to peek into showers as pretty as this one! When photographer Alyse French learned her sister Lorae was newly engaged, she knew she wanted to put together something truly special to celebrate. I’m loving the fabric-wrapped eucalyptus soap favors and all of the gorgeous floral arrangements from Hannah Elissa Floral Design & Event Styling!
From the photographer, Alyse: As a photographer, I don’t often find myself on the planning end of things. But when I learned that my sister Lorae was engaged to the man of her dreams, I jumped right in! I worked closely with Hannah Elissa Floral Design & Event Styling to dream up the vision for this shower. We wanted long tables, florals in creams and pastels, gorgeous linens, gold Chiavari chairs, a photobooth, a guest sign-in, and a special seat for Lorae to open all of her gifts.
Our sign-in table showcased a gold saffian wedding guest book via Paper Source, antique candlesticks and the prettiest floral arrangement. We displayed an invitation by Jessie Burns of BURNSBRITE | Design & Letterpress, who also designed ALL of our party signage. And we can’t forget our handmade eucalyptus soap favors!
The shower was held on our side lawn, beside a DIY photobooth crafted from a curtain rod and streamers. We used a side-table to display flowers, candles, a fun sign, and props. For our gift table, we used an old dresser. Jessie designed another sign per gift placement. And Hannah created the most beautiful ribbon swag for a gift-opening chair. The main party area showcased all sorts of prettiness, with gold Chiavari chairs, napkins, silverware, and glasses rented from Cooperstown Event Rentals. I also purchased some striped fabric from Carousel Designs which was fashioned into table runners!
There was no end to the helpfulness of Hannah Elissa Floral Design. She beautifully arranged roses, hydrangea, dusty miller, celosia, gomphrena, sweet pea and Queen Anne’s lace (Lorae’s favorite) in nine trifle bowls! Hannah also contributed gold votives. The remaining pieces contributed by Jessie of BURNSBRITE included “He Says/She Says” game cards (folded inside our napkins), individual name cards, and labels for our food and dessert tables.

What a lovely bridal shower, I can only imagine how stunning the wedding day will be! I absolutely adore that the fruit salad was held in an apothecary jar…too cute!

Food look great!
So lovely and scrumptious looking. Beautiful flower arrangements, and gorgeous images by the sister/photographer.
