Burlap and Vintage Tablescapes

I absolutely adore burlap and vintage elements combined on tablescapes. It’s not only easy to DIY, but it’s also extremely affordable – you can find burlap for $2 a yard or less and mason jars, vintage china and silverware can be found at any thrift store or flea market.

  • Absolutely gorgeous tabletop designs. My favorite is the wedding with yellow flowers and mismatched vintage plates!

  • I love this natural look! As a practical note, I will mention that burlap can be very scratchy, so it is great for table runners, but as a table skirt it might get uncomfortable against peoples legs… just something to consider 🙂

  • Beautiful. Making a burlap runner has been on my to-do list this december. Thanks for more inspiration!

  • I am planning on doing this at my wedding. Any good ideas on where to buy burlap wholesale? I am also looking for mason jars – are there any places online where I could buy them?

  • Molly,

You might be able to buy a bolt of burlap and ask the salesperson at your local fabric store if they can give you a discount – they might give you a break since you’re buying a whole roll.

As far as mason jars, I think the most affordable route is checking out thrift stores (Salvation Army, etc). They have them for super, super cheap, but you have to be patient and collect over time!

    Good luck!

  • You can get a case of Ball mason jars at their website for about $10-$12 a case. They have the half gallon, quart and pint. Also if they are out of stock in particular size you want then ACE Hardware has them cheap buy the case as well. If you have them shipped to your local ACE hardware store and you pick them up the shipping is free. I am making 14 centerpieces as well as photo jars and lanterns with the four cases I bought.

  • I bought a ton of burlap on eBay for cheap cheap! They ship it to you on a 5 ft by 20 yd roll and I cut a ton of runners from one roll.

  • I bought a bolt of burlap with a 50% coupon from joAnns fabric- entire bolt was 50 bucks. ended up being 1.50 yd! you cant get really anything that cheap!

  • I want to know WHERE they got those awesome linen napkins. They look like they have a chevron design in blue….swoon
