DIY Virginia Wedding III

Finally, it’s time for the reception! From Lindsay, the gorgeous bride:

I could have spent all of my time making things for this wedding. It was a really fun and personal experience. We spent a lot of time on details. However, the one little detail we did not spend much time planning for was the RAIN! Just as I was putting my dress on it started pouring and didn’t stop until the next morning! A lot of our details got wet or moved or forgotten about (even our beautiful ceremony site.) I started to have a bit of a freak out, but guess what? We were still pronounced man and wife and that is ALL that matters. If there is one piece of advice I could give to all the brides-to-be out there, it is to expect the unexpected. Oh yeah, and details are great, but LOVE is better! Happy wedding planning :)

So simple fabulous. I love the tent, it’s something about it and I’m not sure what it is.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! Lindsay will be thrilled — she put so much work into this beautiful wedding. Lizzie: I love capturing clients laughing. I will frequently make an utter fool of myself just so I can get those shots ;-)!

This is very romantic. I am getting married by the end of this year. I hope everything will go on perfectly well. But as what you say, always expect the unexpected. It is true that what matters is that both of you are perfectly in love. What is the use of a grand wedding if you don’t feel love in the air. For me, a simple wedding is perfect.
