Winter Lovers Wedding Inspiration
With winter soon coming to a close for this year, we’re showing our appreciation for the cooler temps with this precious engagement shoot from Plum & Oak and Seven Stems. Bouquet with magnolia leaves and cotton? Check. Two cuties on ice skates? Check. Scrumptious cake complete with a s’mores bar and decadent hot chocolate? Check, check, check — it’s all here, folks.
From the creators, Seven Stems: When the beautiful and talented Whitney (assistant to Marisa of Seven Stems) got engaged an awesome engagement shoot was sure to soon follow! Whitney and Jason’s favorite season is winter and they gave Marisa full reign to create something cool and unique! So, with awesome photographer Elyse Whall of Plum & Oak on board, Winter Lovers began taking shape. Often weddings are super feminine and soft so this seemed the perfect opportunity to focus on more masculine notes. The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe’s library provided the perfect, cozy setting. Marisa used greenery with accents of cotton and berries, antlers and faux fur, plaid and copper. Jake Duke Studios had the perfect furniture for a romantic dinner and lounge.
A romantic evening has to end with sweet treats, so a Love You S’mores bar by Mallow Mallow was in order! And have you ever seen such a cake?! Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. took masculine and moody to a whole new level! Pirouette Paper provided the paper good and signage, Beauty & the Beach hair and makeup, Petals & Stones accessories and Bliss Tulle and Friar Tux wardrobe.
