Wine Country Wedding Inspiration with a Pampas Grass Arch

As you may know, pampas grass is a trend we’re seriously into right now — and this shoot from Ashley Bee Photo, A Blissful Soirée, and Sweet Pea Floral Creations uses it beautifully. The feather-like plant is tucked into an iron circle, aisle arrangements, and even in the bouquet for great textural effect. Just wait until you catch a glimpse of the back of the bride’s Jaime Elyse wedding gown — we’re absolutely wild about it!

From the photographer, Ashley Bee Photo: The Temecula wine country is quickly becoming one of the hottest destinations for weddings in California. Part of what makes Temecula so charming is the small town community vibe with it’s location being a short drive to the more popular tourist attractions in Southern California. When people think of winery weddings, they tend to think of a more rustic vibe. With over 40 different wineries (and counting) in the valley, we wanted to move our attention to Callaway Winery and how we could inspire brides to think differently about a wine country wedding. Mixing traditional and classic elements, paired with industrial and modern, we felt like we were able to create a look today’s bride would find swoon-worthy. With Callaway moving to constantly set the bar higher in Temecula, we knew it was a perfect location for our shoot. They’ve recently renovated their bridal suite to perfection and added the beautiful iron circle arch to their list.

With Callaway perched atop the hill, it’s no wonder it has some of the most fantastic views in wine country. And while most of our weddings out here occur in the Spring & Fall, with mild winter weather in our region, it’s still a fantastic choice. I reached out to Chrystal, from A Blissful Soirée, to help with the design/styling. We were inspired by that transition between the Fall & Winter months with beautiful berry hues, gold, and the sandy warm tones of the Pampas Grass. Instead of using the circular arch as the backdrop, we opted to create more drama at the entrance of the ceremony site. Stephanie from Sweet Pea Floral Creations managed to tie together the look completely with her stunning arrangements while incorporating the modern trends and making it look timeless. We are loving her iron stands used for the key ceremony arrangements, and bringing them together at the dinner table. The tall arrangements create a grand statement while also allowing guests to still interact with each other. Abbey Party Rents provided all the dinnerware, flatware, drinkware and chairs. We loved playing with their dinnerware and mix and matched their Gold Trim and Dazzle plates and paired them with Raspberry colored napkins. Wonderpin Studio did a beautiful job in making our model look flawless! Jamie Elyse provided a one of a kind dress that fit perfectly with our shoot. Handmade by Sara Kim’s Golden Leaves Trio headpiece and Cream Veil just added the perfect touch to finish the look on our bride.
