Wheat Nouveau Fall Wedding Inspiration
We’re reaching the end of autumn, and this collaborative styled shoot designed by WINK! Weddings, perfectly captured by This Modern Romance, Velvet Leaf Studio and Archive Vintage Rentals to name a few, sets the tone perfectly. Really, what’s not to love about a dramatic beaded black gown, patterned wedding invitations, a fishtail braid, and a deep charcoal wedding cake? Let’s jump in!
From the photographer, Stephanie Williams of This Modern Romance: Shot in the hills of Southern California during Golden Hour, I loved this shoot for the uniqueness of the design and non traditional dresses. So perfect for Fall and a “Gold Spun Dark Romance” theme. What WINK! Weddings came up with was a beautiful concept – a slightly darker take on a bohemian theme.
From the stylist and designers, WINK! Weddings: The concept of this shoot is Wheat Nouveau, consisting of a warm earthy vibe balanced with a stark modern ambiance. We selected elements in a lux color palette of heavy metals, dramatic black, bright ruby, and soft ivories. All of this was brought back to the light feeling of grassy wheat swaying in the wind. Design elements such as furniture pieces rang true of a more Gothic state of mind, all balanced with the romantic whimsy of the Wheat Nouveau essence. This style speaks to a free spirit who is non traditional and is deeply and openly in love.

Stunning inspiration, the gown and the accessories are particularly fabulous!
So exciting to see how it all turned out! And thank you to Feast Fine Art and Calligraphy for the beautiful calligraphy work!
The cake in front of the glass windows! Just wow — it looks so gorgeous.

Oh my the detailing on the second dress is absolutely divine. Nice shoot.
I am particularly inspired by the burnt orange, crisp (almost) mint green, and soft yellow of the floral arrangements.
