Vintage-Inspired Museum Wedding

As you all well know, we adore brides who think outside of the norm for their wedding day. Bride Ashley chose a modern art museum-slash-hotel rooftop for her wedding ceremony, and was rewarded with some fantastic photo ops both in and outside the building. Brent and Ashley also have some of the coolest wedding invitations we’ve ever seen — on vinyl albums, no less — and clearly paid attention to every detail. Many thanks to Josh Merideth of Bella Grace Studios for sharing this wedding with us!

This was an amazing DIY wedding mixed in with the absolute best of the best. The wedding took place on the private rooftop penthouse of 21c Museum Hotel. There were guest from all over the US and overseas in attendance. The details were amazing… Vinyl record invitations, letterpressed fan programs, ice cream cone confette and so much more. The guests were greeted with Modern Art, popcorn, Old Fashioned Creme Pop and one of the sweetest weddings I have ever seen.

  • OMG! This is the coolest wedding. Love the color palette- and all the pops of red. LOVE the bowtie + suspenders! And loving all the vintage touches. xo, Chrissy.

  • The cake is darling!!! I love all the colors and those invites are so cute!!!!

  • Oh my goodness!! I normally hate red as a wedding color, but they used just the right amount to make me fall in love, especially with that silvery gray!

  • Wow! This is so well done… love the pops of red and the invites are great!!

  • Lovely – Beautiful Photography, Lovely Details… so quirky and amazing.

  • How incredibly gorgeous is that bride? The shoes, the flowers, the pops of red = to die for. Amazing!

  • This is SUCH a beautiful wedding and I LOVE the flowers! The colors are so vibrant. I used those Gerbera daises (is that what they are called?) in my sister’s wedding flowers too. I did all her flowers. We did a DIY wedding in April- and now we are doing a DIY for mine in August. Did you do the flowers yourself? I like the single long stem on each seat. i think I will do that with a sunflower for my wedding in August!

  • I am so glad everyone loved the wedding. We had a blast photographing it for such an amazing couple. Congrats to Brent & Ashley! Very humbling and exciting to be featured on such an amazing blog as Ruffled.

  • Ashley and Brent are such an adorable couple. My work with them was to create quilted table runners from their quilts. They were a pleasure to work with.
Here’s to a long and wonder-filled life together for Ashley and Brent.

  • I just love everything. From the wedding dress up to the very little detail of this wedding theme. Everything was perfect and so unique. 🙂
