Vegetable Garden Inspired Wedding with Seriously Lush Details
Newlyweds Isaac and Natalie love the outdoors and nature so much, they wanted their wedding day to be full of it as much as possible. This translated into a wedding inspired by a vegetable garden, a vision flawlessly executed by Couture Events and Adorations that included baskets of vegetables lining the ceremony aisle. Keep on looking through these beautiful images from Erica Schneider Photography to see all the other ways this couple paid homage to their love of the outdoors (and each other, of course)!
From the bride, Natalie: The theme of our wedding was inspired by a vegetable garden. We have shared a love for gardening together and love the concept of planting, sowing and reaping in our lives physically and spiritually! We thought it would be a fun way to incorporate our personality and our hobbies into our wedding celebration. We wanted the inspiration to be vegetables and florals with a rustic/chic touch. We included vegetable carts, veggie baskets lining the aisle during the ceremony and vegetables in the florals themselves (bouquets and centerpieces) We built the whole reception under this gorgeous open wood structure it earthy and elegant and whimsical.
The florals were my favorite and maybe most important part of my décor! I LOVE florals and my florist made all my dreams come true, with her vision and creativity. They were the most amazing florals I had ever seen. I wanted wild flowers, tulips, ranunculus, dahlias, garden roses, with herbs and vegetables all mixed together. LaVonne created the most incredible masterpieces. They were whimsical and creative, bright and elegant, they were the talk of the night. I still dream about them to this day and can’t believe they were mine for a day! The floral arch was OVER THE TOP too!
Our venue was everything we dreamed of. We wanted to be outside surrounded by nature and in open space. Isaac and I are lovers of the outdoors, nature, flowers and vegetation and Bandy Canyon perfectly encompassed those things. The ranch is set in a valley surrounded by gorgeous mountains, full of a multitude of different trees, flowers and plants. There are so many beautiful hidden spaces to enjoy, little cabins, streams and beautiful adobe style buildings. Our guest talked all night about how gorgeous the property was and what a hidden treasure it is in San Diego. It was so fun to transform the space into what we imagined and have everyone enjoy it so fully!
Our reception looked like something out of a movie. It was a huge open, wooden structure, with multiple chandeliers with incredible florals hanging from them. It was complete with amazing centerpieces, vintage style furniture, market lights and photo booths. I think the most memorable moment of our reception was entering in knowing everyone we love was there for us! I also LOVED our speeches. It was so special to hear from our closest family and friends. We felt so loved, supported and blessed.
