Tasmanian Tented Wedding
Where to begin with this Australian island wedding? What grabbed us first was easily the elegant simplicity of bride Eliza’s breathtaking Jenny Packham gown, which was captured to perfection by photographer Jonathan Wherrett. The newlyweds literally built their wedding from the ground up with a tented reception amid a paddock. Keep an eye out for the couple’s adorable little pup making a guest appearance!
From the bride, Eliza: We envisioned a relaxed country vintage garden wedding. The whole look was DIY in that we started with a paddock and had to create a reception venue! We had a lot of help from local friends and family, used various props from around the farm, and borrowed things from local vineyards and farmers.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Be organised – spreadsheets are a big help! Don’t be afraid to delegate and accept help from others.
