This stunner of a gown, style 2674, is probably our favorite. It features ivory lace and caramel tulle for the perfect romantic dress with a bit of contrast — a great way to add a bit of color to your wedding gown without going too far outside the box!

Helping the gowns to shine even more beautifully is styling done by Kathryn Godwin of Studio Cultivate, and Proper Flower heading up the floral decor. Brian Schindler Photography took care of all the images, framing the wedding dresses from Morilee to utter perfection.

The amount of detailing that goes into each of these gowns is truly extraordinary, and the delicate beaded straps on Style 2873 has us utterly smitten. As an added bonus, you can even get the gown in an ivory/blush pink mix!

The back of this gown, style 2804, features a tulle train inset peeping out of a scalloped hemline with Alencon lace appliques. We love that it’s a little bit of a surprise every time the bride turns around!

Of course, this fit and flare gown (Style 2719) makes our heart skip a beat too, with its romantic embroidery design and, diamante beading around the waistline for a belted effect, and an illusion back that totally steals the scene.

DIY Branch Slice Backdrop

DIY Projects

We’re always fans of mixing high and low elements in wedding design, and this backdrop made of natural wood slices and gold leaf is a prime example of how beautifully the two can work together. Kathryn Godwin of Studio Cultivate is here to share all the details behind this DIY branch slice backdrop, with help from Brian Schindler behind the camera!

For this project, you will need:
-branch slices (you can find these on etsy or ebay, or if you know how to use a miter saw, then find a branch in your backyard!)
-spray adhesive
-gold leaf
-jute or gold twine
-drill
-1/8″ drill bit
-scissors
-tapestry needle

Instructions:

2. Measure twine to length you would like your backdrop to be.

3. Use a tapestry needle to thread gold twine through both holes.

5. Thread the next slice, keeping them about 1.5″ apart, continue steps 2 & 3.

6. Use spray adhesive on section you would like to apply gold leaf- hold can about 8″ away. We created a diagonal stripe with our gold leaf application that spans the width of the backdrop.

7. Gently apply a sheet of gold leaf to slice, using the tissue paper layers to help smooth the leaf sheet.
