Sunrise Elopement Session in Rome, The Eternal City
Oh, how we’re suckers for the Eternal City. Pair the distinctive Italian architecture with a sunrise elopement session, and you’ll have our jaws on the floor. Well, that’s precisely what this team of international wedding creatives did for Lavinia and Dino’s elopement session inspiration. The pretty pastel streets are countered with scattered cream petals, watercolor illustrations and a designer gown with a floral print we are living for. Just wait till you see the rest!
Sophie Epton’s photography style is one of those that never fails to make us smile. Light, cheerful and always real, she shows us raw moments with a fine art twist.
At the helm of this dream team is stylist + planner, Camilla Cascino. How she was able to capture this elopement inspiration beauty with a city that looked like it belonged to L+D entirelyy, we’ll never know. But we will commend her magic planning abilities forever!
Chiara Sperti Floral Events styled lavish crescent blooms for Lavinia and Dino’s ceremony in the heart of city. Isn’t it a dream?!
From the stylist, Camilla Cascino: Taking a photoshoot in the center of Rome is always very difficult because of the crowd of tourists filling the city every day. The only way to do it is to wake up at sunrise on a Sunday in August. And this is the result!
The most wonderful (and dynamic) gown courtesy of Silvia Valli Atelier – it’s completely custom too. Can you imagine walking down the aisle in a delicate stunner that was literally made for you?
Lavinia is an Italian actress and influencer and together with Dino, her fiancee for more than 10 years, she decided to indulge in this elopement session in the eternal city.
When I started working on this project I imagined Lavinia coming down the Spanish Steps with a flowing and light floral dress. This vision was our muse! I spoke about this idea with Silvia Valli, the designer who designed and made the dress, and so the search for the best fabric began. Silvia, who lives and works in Lake Como where there are the most famous + important famous Italian textile companies, chose a chiffon printed in pure Italian silk to make the dress. For the palette of colors, we were inspired by all the nuances of the palaces surrounding the staircase of Trinità dei Monti: the pink fading to orange, travertine white, the light yellow…
The crown and earrings that Lavinia wears are fine pieces of handmade porcelain craft made by Taala that mimick delicate flower petals.
Her shoes are the beautiful creations of Bella Belle Shoes, and the ring… well it was made by the super talented icon, Suzie Saltzman.
These paper goods are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Boarding School Collective crafted these custom designs with watercolor blends and loopy, hand drawn calligraphy. How cool is their custom L+D crest?
Dino’s suit is made by a very talented Italian designer: Veronica Salvini of Linneo Archivable Clothing. A suit in blue tones, a fresh ivory linen shirt and a papillon perfectly in harmony with the turquoise of her dresses, plus laced shoes made with feathers from another talented Italian craftsman, Olivia Monteforte.
Frank Giacone created the three different hairstyles emphasizing the typical Italian beauty of Lavinia, and Silvia Federici took care of the makeup exalting the refined features of her face.
Be still, our beating hearts! There’s not a more romantic natural backdrop than the cobblestoned streets of Rome, if you ask us.
