Summertime Citrus Wedding Inspiration
The first time we laid eyes on this shoot, we were immediately drawn to the light and airy floral arrangements. Can you imagine our surprise when we finally realized they were made of paper by The Lovely Ave, and weren’t actually freshly plucked from the garden? Not only is it striking on your wedding day, but the bouquet will be an invaluable keepsake for years to come! Without further ado, let’s take a look at these shots from Ashlee Brooke Photography and the lovely tablescape by Rachael Ellen Events:
From the photographer, Ashlee Brooke Photography:
The changing of seasons was the inspiration for this shoot. Warm sunsets, longer days, backyard dinner parties, and all of the delightful citrus that comes with it. Contrast of all the colors and vibrancy of the shoot could really be showcased by photographing in this lovely but simple studio loft. An ideal location for an intimate elopement or dinner party. The blue wall adds such a nice contrast to the table setting, details and the model. A small hint of vintage inspiration was used to style the bride, which gives the whole look a timeless vibe while still remaining extremely modern. Exquisite lace detail on the wedding gown offered just enough of a delicate touch.
The event planner loved the concept of summer being fun and fresh while still holding true to the feminine romanticism. She used a raw silk table runner in a deep blue for contrast against the bright pops of citrus to refine and allow the contrast to speak for itself. Special touches such as the Casa de Perrin table setting and kumquat springs placed on each plate allowed the table to feel elegant with the perfect amount of summer vibes. The organic nature of the flowers, raw silk ribbon, and stunning beaded dress paired perfectly with the modern stripe of the charger and pop color of the blue silk runner.
The bouquet florals have been handcrafted and are made with paper. The idea of having a wedding bouquet that won’t die and will remain bright and happy all year around is such an amazing concept. The florals on the cake are also hand crafted out of sugar. Yes, those flowers are made with sugar. Between the paper florals and the sugar florals, this concept is full of talent and amazing colors that were created to complement the citrus flawlessly. This session is the perfect inspiration to give any spring or summer bride ideas for a vibrantly elegant wedding palette that will make their wedding colorful but tasteful.
