Summer Vibes Wedding Inspiration
This shoot from Elle Rose Photo is your golden ticket for summer. Taking a break from the beloved blush pink and neutral palettes, Cheers! Chicago dreamt up this happy color palette of hot pinks, bright oranges, and bright blues. Hello Darling brought in the gorgeous florals that stole the show. Grab a popsicle and join us:
From the event planners, Cheers! Chicago: We decided to inject our shoot with bold, bright, vibrant colors in a fabulous variety of floral textures to spice things up for spring and summer! The florals by Hello Darling were truly the focal point of our shoot, showcasing individual, eye-catching arrangements in unique, asymmetrical gold vases that would make your eyes travel up and down the length of of our decor “runner”. Windy City Linen provided a soft pink lamour linen for our main table that we covered with a lace overlay, ensuring the delicate lace pattern detail wouldn’t get lost underneath the busy blooms. Chez was the perfect setting for our shoot with its chic, white wall s- we knew the striking colors and pops of gold from the flatware, geometric balls, urchins, and lanterns would really pop on a such a simple, clean space.
Bittersweet Bakery created a two-tier cake with a square base covered in a psychedelic, swirled fondant pattern and a round, hand-painted top tier. Bittersweet also created mix-and-match mango macaron favors with pink and purple colored wafers and orange mango filling. For our stationery, we wanted paper goods that weren’t too serious and packed a little personality, so Invitations By Design created a chic white invite with a fanciful font and a hot pink border backed by gold glitter paper for some serious sparkle. We decided to make the reception card a bright orange and RSVP card hot pink with a neon yellow envelope, and use these same daring colors for our escort card display. We printed guests’ names and table numbers on alternating squares of neon paper, and pinned them to the gold wall art with mini clothespins spray-painted gold. Paying homage to the French name of our venue, Invitations By Design also created sweet and sassy menus with the same lively font from our invite and escort cards that read “Bon Appetit”.
Our favorite concept of the shoot by far was our “living” CHEERS board. I bought the 12 inch cardboard letters from JoAnn Fabrics, cut out the fronts with an exacto knife, and spray-painted them gold. Hello Darling then filled each letter with a lovely mixture of blooms, and the CHEERS letters were then attached to our pretty purple foam core board, which features a closeup of a peony that Hello Darling owner, Natalie, took.
