Summer Loving Wedding Inspiration with a Fiesta Brunch
Today’s styled shoot is summer happiness in a bottle, complete with cacti details and a brunch menu. With three dessert options ranging from good ol’ wedding cake to pancakes to waffles, this one is sure to please every sweet tooth out there! Thank you to the fab team of Charla Storey Photography, Jen Rios Weddings, and R Love Floral for making it all happen and sharing this beauty with us.
From the designer, Jen Rios Weddings: This shoot was inspired by two of my favorite things – cacti & brunch! Focusing on a “Summer bride” we brought in bright and vibrant colors to create a cheerful and slightly Fiesta inspired vibe. I’m all about texture so we brought in lots of elements for a layered effect – yarn, terra cotta, acrylic, needlepoint, greenery, etc. All of the variety of elements also gave the design a bohemian feel which is more relaxed for a daytime brunch wedding. I didn’t want the decor to feel too sparse so I asked R Love Floral to mix in some really lush floral for a good juxtaposition and also gave us a good source of those warm colorful hues.
No brunch is complete without pancakes or waffles so in additional to a traditional wedding cake I asked Jar Cakery to stack both to create mini cakes on either side. Paired with the syrup favors from Cleggraphy Designs it was a yummy display! My favorite part of the design was the altar. Using an existing element at Mopac Event Center we added in handmade yarn tassels and more vibrant blooms. Layering in candles, cacti and vintage rugs gave a really eclectic and personalized look.
