The Stars Shined a Little Brighter for this Real Santorini Elopement
When the love of your life asks you to marry them, it’s as if the stars have aligned and your special day is like a dream come true. Well, Julia & Evita wanted to create an unforgettable reception that lit up like the night sky and they brought that vision to life using a star-shaped canopy of fairy lights. The sky full of stars in Santorini wasn’t the only thing shining brightly on this night and we almost couldn’t believe our eyes when we first saw Lighthouse Photography‘s photos of this gorgeous elopement!
From the wedding planner, Julia & Evita: Our goal was to create a unique and meaningful set up for Brittney and Jason’s destination elopement. While thinking of ideas for the reception setting, one thing was constantly on our mind – stars! When you dine outdoors, on a beautiful summer evening at a Greek island you can’t help but admire the beautiful sky full of stars. And then our idea came up, we had to bring a star to the venue for our couple to dine underneath it.
We worked with our team to bring our vision to life and created this star-shaped canopy with hanging fairy lights. Having the right people next to you is important specially when you trying new things and ideas – choose your vendors wisely! Our advice to all couples is to think outside of the box and use Pinterest only as inspiration. Your wedding deserves to be unique and special!
