Soft Wedding Inspiration in Oatmeal and Gray
Soft and delicate, today’s styled shoot is for the bride who’s captivated by classic romance. The designer behind it all, IDA ROSE EVENTS, says: “Our goal was to embrace the beauty of simplicity, while still making sure to infuse the day and the details with warmth,” and oh boy, did this team knock it out of the park. Thank you to Darling and Daughters for your beautiful floral creations, and Elizabeth Fogarty for the lovely images!
From the event designer, IDA ROSE EVENTS: I think we can all agree that there’s just something so magical about a winery sunset. Pair that stunning scenery with bi-coastal whimsy and both classic and organic details, and you can create something pretty special. Our goal for this editorial was to achieve a design that was both soft and impactful, dramatic yet simple, and whimsically structured.
Stone Tower Winery is the very definition of rustic elegance, with a stunning ballroom, vast acreage and a sparkling pond. The details of the day were kept light and airy – clean and crisp invitations and menus, sheer nude and lace pumps, nude silk ribbon, a golden ring box and elegant jewels. A clean white cake with fondant ribbon detailing and fresh blooms fit perfectly with the fresh and romantic aesthetic of the day. The flowers were soft, elegant, daring, and oversized in the best way. Shades of creamy nude, blush, yellow and wild greens gave us an interesting spin on a neutral color scheme, and were just so pretty. For the reception, three long tables were draped with soft eggshell linens, and adorned with mix of organic and modern style design, whimsical and sweet floral arrangements and thin beeswax tapered candles. We really enjoyed working with so many interesting textures for this look: linen, wood, classic silver metal, washed cement, matte clay and silk.
Now the bride and groom… the word “stunning” comes to mind. The bride wore a dreamy, champagne tulle off the shoulder gown that gave us all a serious case of dress-envy. Her hair was swept up in an artful up-do with delicate jeweled pins, while her makeup was kept soft, emphasizing her angelic features. The groom kept it classic and dapper with a modern fit black tux and coordinating accessories. They walked the grounds, sweetly embraced and literally walked off into the sunset. Our goal was to embrace the beauty of simplicity, while still making sure to infuse the day and the details with warmth, and we are so happy with that this goal was achieved!
