Smoky Game of Thrones Wedding Inspiration in a Modern Day Stonehenge
We’d be willing to be you’re uninterested in the mundane. You’re seeking out inspiration for your wedding that packs a serious punch. Garners that “oh-my-god-I-must-have-it” thought. You get the gist! Well, let me introduce you to today’s smoky Game of Thrones wedding inspiration in a modern day Stonehenge.
Dragon scales. Raven-inspired invites. A fur cloak for the groom. Is there anything this concept (and gallery!) from Misty C. Photography didn’t hit a homer on?
The creative calligraphy playing in this invitation suite by Artful Virgo. We just cannot!
We can’t think of a better setting for this than the fab Maryhill Stonehenge. I mean where else can you find a structure so like the seven kingdoms!
Vintage gemstone engagement rings from Trumpet and Horn are the cherry on top to this Game of Thrones wedding inspiration – who doesn’t feel powerless against bold emeralds like this?
From the photographer, Misty C. Photography: Everyone is eagerly anticipating the next Game of Thrones season, and we wanted to get in on the action too! We knew we couldn’t be the only ones dreaming about Jon and Daenerys tying the knot! We wanted to incorporate deep, rich tones with natural details to bring the realness of the shoot all tied together with an amazing location, and vendors to boot.
Sexy and mysterious, this dreamy skirt from SkirtCreations with a charcoal dip-dye effect from Misty C. Photography is ah-mazing.
There was no question about which bridal hairstyle to go for, and Julee Heslop aced it all the way with Daenerys’ signature braids, intricately wrapped in parallel rows like a natural crown. For obvious reasons!
Calligraphed menus by Artful Virgo on stone tablets because, why not?
And let’s take a minute to appreciate this fierce makeup from Amy Rene Artistry. This Mother of Dragons and Queen of Beaty is taking the world by storm.
If you’re wondering where you can find a cloak and dragon eggs as magical as these, look no further than the talented Willow Whispers Artistry!
For our flowers, we chose some deep purples and pinks to help bring in a feminine but powerful look for our Daenerys! Clothing wise, we knew that we wanted to give “Daenerys” a strong, but delicate dress. We went with a two piece option of a chiffon skirt which was hand dip-dyed by Misty C. Photography, along with the delicate lace top straight off Amazon. We also wanted our “Jon” to look regal and powerful so we choose the long fur-lined cloak to tie into the theme. For our decor, rock and crystals helped tie together the location’s stone pillars, and the deep purples and pinks popped off the smooth velvet on the table. We used hammered goldware to offset the black plates with marble chargers.
We love the way these rich blooms from My Garden Overfloweth contrast against the towering concrete walls. Not to mention the way they pop with the bride’s dip dyed two-pice dress!
The Painted Papier served up some dreamy wax seals, and we are pretty freaking obsessed with the card quality from Beauty Bright Design on these colorful invites.
Every tier of this magical cake from Frost Me Sweet fulfills our wildest dreams.
Not a detail went amiss in these curated furniture pieces from Tin Sparrow Events – smoke glass goblets, hammered votives, mismatched brass candlesticks and fur-lined chairs to name a few!
