Clean lines, textures, bright colors that blend in with the landscape and architecture, and a general sense of understated elegance set the tone to this photo-shoot. Who knew that nature, a romantic ruin and the Portuguese warm golden light could create such an exquisite and unforgettable ambiance?
We choose colors that blend in with the nature and the stone used in the construction of this glorious building. The table has a hint of gold to bring warmth, and elegance. The centerpieces are of different sizes, and bring different textures, allowing for a better flow of all the flowers on a table that has been richly covered with lace. Although the chairs are traditionally shaped, they are modern and simultaneously contrast and blend in with its surroundings.
The stationery has been hand drawn and hand painted, using colors that are those of the land around and evoking the terracotta from the rooftops. The ceremony unfolds in a place with a spectacular view, where the horizon seems endless and the nature and the floral decoration are one. The dinner takes place in the old church which is now a romantic ruin. The blue azulejos (Portuguese tiles) depict St Michael Archangel. At the entrance, around the main door, a fabulous arch is fitted. Romantic and ethereal, as it had always been there.
A long table for 12 guests allows for plenty of room and a sumptuous decoration in lighter colors that contrast with the grey-ish stone from the walls. The mise en place brings royalty in the gold accents and elegance in the silver and mother of pearl cutlery. There are several tall candelabra on the floor so that all candles can be alight and make this event even more intimate and special.
Bride and Groom wear classical attires, with a hint of modern. The jewelry is also modern and clean, ideal for sophisticated couples. The cake is monogrammed, with plenty of textures and boasting elegance. Are you ready to be dazzled?
