Silver Wedding Anniversary Ideas
Recently gold has been receiving a lot of love in the styling world, but we don’t want to forget about gold’s just-as-glittery counterpart, silver! Scarlet O’Neill and Ashley Lindzon Events teamed up to show that, once the wedding’s over, the parties don’t have to stop!
From the stylist, Ashley of Ashley Lindzon Events: This creative shoot was designed to inspire couples to continue celebrating once the wedding has passed and to remember that “the best is yet to come”. The emphasis during the wedding planning is naturally on the big day but we think the partying can continue to celebrate life and love. And love is exactly what this shoot was all about.
The champagne bar was inspired by Kate Spade’s ‘Pop, Fizz, Clink!’ Holiday cards. The bar was filled with bottles of Veuve Cliquot and accessorized with raspberries, blackberries and sugar cubes. Champagne glasses were adorned with rock candy stir sticks.
The sweet table was framed with silver fringe curtains and had a chandelier hanging to add some extra sparkle. A white ruffle wedding cake was made by Bobbette and Belle and we added a DIY ‘l-o-v-e’ silver glittered cake topper. Other desserts included mini wedding cakes, white chocolate covered pretzels, vanilla marshmallows, white chocolate hearts, powder sugar donuts and white and silver lollipops. Above the desserts was a sign that read ‘First Comes Love, Then Comes Dessert’, a perfect sentiment for a couple celebrating their one year anniversary.
Champagne, wedding cake and silver sparkles were the main focus so we set up a champagne bar with all the fixings and a bright white and sparkly silver sweet table. From custom rock candy stir sticks to glitter rimmed ice cold milk shots, this display had it all. We even included a glazed donut favor station.

This is so beautiful! I love the dessert table…it’s amazing!
This is a truly adorable idea! I never thought of a one-year anniversary shindig looking like so much fun! Though the ideas were cute and fun, they could definitely be done tastefully on a budget or as extravagantly as you wanted. I love it! Our one-year anniversary is coming up, and now my wheels are spinning. I think gold could be beautiful as well, but the silver gives such a clean, almost magical look. I love the champagne bar idea! Would a build your own sundae bar with all the toppings be a hit?
Ashley,
I absolutely LOVE your styling work! You have wonderful design sense and your events are just gorgeous. Captured beautifully by Scarlet – congrats ladies!
Thanks Melanie! Just saw this comment now! xo
Very creative; I love it…best wishes to both of you.
I love the sign “we decided on Forever”!
