Serene Boho Garden Vow Renewal
Celebrating love and life with family and friends, this couple reminds us that marriage is an accomplishment and something to be renowned year after year. For Jonny and Michelle, a serene boho garden vow renewal ceremony seemed like the perfect way to say “I Do” all over again. Vintage rugs, little blooms in pottery, and a macrame floral installation all came together to create an eclectic backyard paradise. Oh, and did we mention the alpacas?! You MUST keep reading to see how these adorable furry friends almost stole the show.
With photographers Paper Antler and Eliesa Johnson, we do not miss a single detail of this very special, thoughtfully planned day. How adorable are Jonny and Michelle’s two little kiddos? This is definitely family goals right here!
Cherry Blossom Events could not have designed a more beautiful day. They created a backyard boho paradise with long wooden tables with soft white linens, vintage rugs with pillows and poofs, and completely unique tablescapes with speckled pottery and fresh fruit.
Floral designs by Briar Loft included muted tones of pink and peach in their organic centerpieces and whimsical installations. We love the mix of large arrangements with small, single bud vases and pots.
Michelle’s stunning gown from Linyage matched the vibe of the day: effortlessly beautiful.
The custom beer tap from Borrowed Bar not only has a great look, but is also such a fun and unique feature for this reception.
From the couple: A lot of people asked me why we’d have a 10-year vow renewal ceremony. Simply put, we celebrate job promotions, retirement, birthdays, graduations, new pants, etc. all of which can be great things, however, marriage can get overlooked (or given a bad rep) in this landscape of striving and achievement. So, beyond a wedding, celebrating marriage and reflecting, gathering and communicating love that is chosen and leaned into, is worthy of a party; worthy of taking inventory in ourselves and in our lives, all of the goodness and hardships and blessings that have happened in the past ten years because it’s easy to get distracted and easy to forget that the most valuable parts of our lives are often right in front of us.
Everyone involved in our vow-renewal is a friend and important in our lives from our florist to the videographers to our friend Eliesa who graciously took photos during the ceremony.
