Wes-Anderson-Meets-Romance Wedding

Few things make me gasp like this wedding captured by none other than Jen Huang Photography. It’s one of those weddings that will leave you swooning for days, just daydreaming of a modern day fairytale like this one. Bride Pamela took inspiration from Wes Anderson movies and blended her + her husband Brady’s utterly chic sense of style into a totally gorgeous wedding, planned to the nines by Dream a Little Dream Events.

From the bride, Pamela: When we set off to plan our wedding, the vision we had in mind was “Wes Anderson-movie-themed.” How to create that feeling was a challenge, how to translate that intangible idea into visual elements was quite interesting too. We like eclectic things, things that don’t match, but belong together when carefully selected. That’s how we describe our personalities, we couldn’t be more different, but complimentary and “better together,” which was the phrase we chose for our cake topper.

We didn’t want our floral arrangements to look uniform, we used vibrant colors against rustic ones, and we had them loosely arranged in different shape and size vases so they looked effortless and unstructured. We had terrariums during the cocktail hour to differ from the flower used for the reception, where plants were sealed inside transparent globes. The chairs, place settings, silverware and glasses were all different as well, set against a pattered tablecloth, striped napkins, and a stack of old books, giving the personal feel of what people would experience if they were having dinner in our home.
