Sailboat Daydream Wedding Inspiration
Today’s styled shoot takes us through a wonderful world of fantasy cultivated by the creative minds of Sarah Bradshaw Photography, Type A Society and Wild Green Yonder. The theme for the day was delight in the unexpected, and this whimsical dream was the result! We love the contrast of deep reds + blues against the natural woodsy palette, and the flashes of white are an even better combination yet. The velvet texture of the sofa offers luxurious comfort in an otherwise stiff environment, and the romantic tablescape beckons us into its graceful presence. Get ready to be wowed by this enchanting sailboat resting harmoniously amongst the trees – you won’t wanna miss it!
From the event stylist, Carrie of Type A Society: My friend Sarah Bradshaw found this magical boat tree house and we just had to do something with it! How often do you find a sailboat in a tree? We wanted to create something that was different and magical and this was just the thing. We were inspired by this quote: “The more often we see the things around us – even the beautiful and wonderful things – the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world: the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds – even those we love. Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.” -Joseph B. Wirthlin
It’s so easy to let the simple things in life, the beautiful things become mundane. Something as simple as a boat in a tree, the clouds, the wind. These things often slip by our notice and become dull and mundane to us. But just think! What an amazing feeling it is to have the wind blow against your face, to watch the clouds change shapes in front of your eyes, to be able to see, touch, and smell flowers that bloom for just brief moments and hours. Focusing on the simple elements we see and feel everyday..the wind, the magical clouds above us and the simple pleasures of flowers. Flowers hold nothing back, they give their all to bloom for a few days just to die, just for our enjoyment. What marvelous things!! Unless we stop and truly focus on them, we won’t fully enjoy them. We take all of these things for granted and I wanted to draw attention to these daily magical things in life that we pass by so easily.
