Montreal Winter Wedding Inspiration
Get your cocoa ready. Photographer Dallas Curow captured this gem of a winter wedding shoot, filled with emerald tones and metallic golds enough to sweep everyone off their feet. With expert styling from Elyse Cragg and a cake by The Cake Whisperer that makes our hearts flutter, we can’t think of a better way to officially welcome December than with this shimmering snowy shoot!
From the photographer, Dallas: Canadian winters can have a savage beauty. On the coldest days, the skies are vivid blue and the sun sparkles off the ice-encrusted streets. Though the bitterest days of winter certainly make a person long for the gentler seasons, there’s something wonderfully cozy about gathering with family and friends in a warm room in the depth of winter. Escaping the cold on a special occasion brings you even closer together, and somehow heightens the sense of merriment! We wanted to show engaged couples how beautiful a winter wedding can be for those daring enough to consider one.
We sought to showcase the lovely juxtaposition between portraits in the blue, cold light of winter and a reception in a warm room under the glittering light of antique chandeliers. The design was inspired by the silver and gold sparkle of snow, and the timeless opulence of a chateau. To create affordable centerpieces with impact, we collected fallen branches and spray-painted them gold. We assembled guest favours by wrapping several different types of treats (chocolate-covered pretzels, painted gold; green tea and mint truffles; gold dragées) in beautiful paper. We also cozied up bottles of wine in knitted wine sleeves by Paper and Parcel.
Our table was swathed in glittering tulle sourced from a neighborhood fabric store. The icing on the cake came in the form of an exquisite, tiered confection (complete with sugar anemones to match the florals) by The Cake Whisperer. We hope this styled shoot will provide a refined yet refreshing inspiration for brides planning a winter wedding!

I LOVE! Everything about this post- the pops of emerald green, the pops of gold- every detail is styled to perfection!
Was real fur used in this photo shoot? Jacket or chair cover?

Perfect winter wedding inspiration. I think this couple likes green! LOL but seriously this deep evergreen color is not used nearly enough. Beautiful!
Oh this shoot is just too gorgeous. I’m not sure what detail Iike the most. So very chic!
Such a lovely, perfectly styled shoot! I especially like the unexpected color palette – the contrast between the indoor setting and snowy outdoors is really pretty.
This is a one modern inspired wedding. Concept of green is adorable…and looks clearly great.

Does anyone by chance know who makes the wedding dress featured in this post?
Shannon – it’s the Amour by Kenneth Pool!
Everything about this shoot is just perfect! I love the pop of colour that really gives the wedding a beautiful blend of vintage and contemporary. Beautiful styling!
Elyse who makes the jacket in the picture?

Awesome.. thanks For Sharing..
Achieving the Look of Allure is about more than just the dress. On the day when all eyes are on you, feeling confident and beautiful is something every bride deserves. Whether your style is classic and traditional, or bold and dramatic – it all starts with how your wedding dress makes you feel. And nothing else feels like an Allure.
