Salt Lake City Garden Wedding
This Salt Lake City from Lindsey Stewart of Green Apple Photography fuses the best of both worlds: an outdoor garden ceremony with an ultra elegant indoor reception. We love their guests wore they favorite 20s inspired frocks, complete with some seriously amazing headpieces the ladies made at Laura’s bachelorette party. Wait until you see Laura’s stunning bouquet, complete with amaranth and loose twigs!
From the bride, Laura: We wanted a sophisticated feel in a nonfussy, earthy style… warm and inviting but still luxurious. Our color scheme for the ceremony was white + all shades of green… the reception was held in a very nice old house so no decor was necessary! DIY elements included wedding programs and our wedding favors.
Any advice for brides planning their weddings now? Simplify and narrow down your DIY elements early on, focusing in on what you know you will enjoy doing. The week before the wedding is crazy no matter how much you try to do ahead of time, so plan and recruit help to make sure everything gets done with minimal stress.
From the photographer, Lindsey of Green Apple Photography: Laura and Alister had their ceremony up in the Wasatch Mountains, at the Groom’s cabin and then their reception at a historic home in Salt Lake City. A couple of things I really loved about this wedding were the amazing hats everyone wore to the Ceremony. Laura and Alister invited everyone to wear their best hat attire, and part of her bachelorette party was making some of these gorgeous creations. Their reception was at an historic home, and so many of their guests also dressed up in their best 1920’s style. It was so fun to see everyone show up. Laura’s sister-in-law owns a winery, and created a custom wine especially for Laura and Alister’s wedding. It was a gorgeous wedding, full of style, personality and love.

This wedding is beautiful.
Does anyone have any idea where that yellow dress is from?
Thanks
Such a clever idea to make hats at the bachelorette and then wear them at the wedding! If my friends and I did that, I’m not sure they would be as pretty, but I love the idea!
The hats were our favorite part too. Creative, yet classy at the same time.
I often dip into ruffled for my ‘fix’ of beautiful style and photography and today is a real treat !!
Love the amazing hats – that is a fantastic idea.
The venue needed nothing extra – just divine.
Beautiful dress- beautiful bouquet – very happy loved up couple – wow !!
