We love the striped altar canopy the crafted tent for the bride and groom to share their first meal in newlywedded bliss. And of course, we can’t forget the presence of one of our favorite flowers of all time, the dahlia, in the arrangements by Twigss Floral Studio!

From the event stylist, Davia of Davia Lee Events: Inspired by fashion & a unique take on retro fashion, this isn’t your average wedding. It is a fun, carefree cocktail style wedding with a classic backdrop and unexpected details. This bride loves fashion, jewels, glitter & sparkle! Her love for funky fashion with a classic take was the inspiration behind her dream cocktail wedding.

She knew she wanted to walk down the aisle in a short 1950’s dress, her pink pumps, spring jewelry & a bright bouquet of fresh blooms. Her bridesmaids would be in black cocktail dresses with a bit of sparkle in their shoes. For a fresh take on the ceremony set up, she was drawn towards color blocking, oversized paper flowers, classic stripes and a breathtaking view. Cocktail hour would then take place on the incredibly landscaped lawn with perfectly placed cocktail trays and white lounge furniture. We wanted to create an intimate sweetheart table where the newlyweds could hide in to steal a few kisses.

The black & white striped backdrop gave a fun graphic pop to the background without taking away from the glamorous linen topped with playful floral arrangements. The Mr. & Mrs. plates serve as a fun place card that the couple can always keep as a reminder of their special day. The bulb chandelier & paper flowers add an element that you might not expect & brings in the personality of the couple. The cake created for this couple is beyond unique! It is the perfect combination of her classic style with a fun pop of color! Butler served cocktails and individually plated desserts to each guest were the icing on the cake & the end to a perfect day!
