Purple and Pink Wedding Flowers
The second we heard from Bailey’s Brides that they wanted to go after a bold color palette, we were hooked! Pulling inspiration from an Italian café and rich hues of purples, pinks, and teals, this shoot is chock full of fresh floral decor from Just Fresh Concept and a yummy cake thanks to Le Gateau Bake Shop.
From the stylist and planner, Bailey’s Brides: Just like anyone involved with weddings, in any way, as a vendor, bride, groom or even a guest, everyone loves to see something new, something grand, bold, romantic and inspiring. When Denise and I got to talking about what we wanted to do for a shoot we wanted to push the envelope a bit and try some new colours to inspire the new bride and groom. Our inspiration was Italy and it came from the amazing venue we used. The venue (Vinicis Café and Art Gallery) is actually a café run by a local woman from Italy, the walls are adorned with her paintings in rich purples, teals, luscious yellows and exotic blues. We could only picture ourselves on the hills of Italy enjoying a romantic wedding in this setting.
To get the drama and romance of the shoot portrayed, we put the model in darker, seductive and rich romantic makeup, and her dress carried the frills of an exotic wedding but with the glam of sophistication. The flowers brought all of this to life in high drama, with large blooms, exotic flowers and rich colours. The added touches of an over the top luxurious couch, high end glitter heels and stunning jewellery only added to the exotic feel and the small personal touches such as the Mr. and Mrs. coasters and the “Bride” hanger added the personal and DIY touch that every bride craves. The table settings, a sweet heart table for two was surrounded but the lush foliage of Italy…
The bride and groom sit framed in luxury as they sit seated at a Tuscan inspired setting, with dark teal, shell chargers with the added glam of a solid silver glitter charger. Lace napkins, coloured beads and teal candles added the subtle rich and romantic feel. The idea behind the shoot was not only to inspire brides to think a little out of the box, to have fun, be a little dramatic, but it was also a way to introduce the idea of having a destination wedding in your own backyard.
