Grandchester, Australia Garden Wedding
Rise and shine! Here in the U.S we’re just waking up from a long lazy weekend with the fam, to a beautiful Australian wedding shot by Jonathan Ong. Amy and Charlie’s wedding pampered their guests with lots of little touches, including homemade orange marmalade favors that her mom made. Click here to see all images from this wedding.
From the bride, Amy: Charlie and I wanted a big party with all the people we loved out under the stars. We envisioned a country/vintage theme with lots of colour.
Romantic, rustic, fun and memorable. We had 2 screens set up playing through a slideshow of approximately 100 photos dating back to when we were kids through to present. They captured many moments shared with many family and friends in the room. We tried to include a photo of everyone there. Our favors were orange marmalade that my mum homemade for our 150 guests. Our colour palette was vintage white, ivory with accents of burnt oranges, reds and vintage jades.
We were married at Spicers Hidden Vale, Grandchester, QLD. It is a boutique hotel operating on a working cattle station. It just had the most sensational views and country feel we both love – without being too far for our loved ones to travel.
