Cookie Decorating Bridal Shower

I love a good bridal shower. Not only are they great parties in themselves, but they can often translate into stellar wedding design. This bridal shower, photographed by Weddings by Scott and Dana and designed by When Pigs Fly Events with help from Layers of Lovely, takes the bridal shower and adds a fun twist of cookie decorating for all the guests!

From Courtney of When Pigs Fly Events: Ashley sent us a beautiful color palette of blush, pinks, seafoam green, turquoise, and gold and asked us to create a girly, whimsical bash. The bride owns an organic dog treat company, so we thought it would be fun to have a mannequin walking balloon dogs to greet the the guests at the door. We wanted the room to sparkle so we brought in sequined linens and giant balloons with lovely tinseled ribbons.

We handmade a ribbon backdrop for the dessert bar, ribbon garlands, and ribbon drops for the backs of the chairs. Guests enjoyed a specialty mimosa bar and sipped from diy glittered glasses. Each place setting held a gold sequined clutch filled with flowers. The lounge couch was tufted with diamonds. Special photos were strung on a vintage piece showing memories of the bride and each guest. Lace parasols adorned the tables, adding texture to the room. Of course, we had to bring in luxe ostrich feathers for that full Vegas charm! We loved working with our dazzling bride-to-be!
